I owns both Gerber shortcut and clutch and both of them lost their springiness for the blade on the first day of use, the blade now simply loose. Just use it to cut open plastic shrink wraps and both of them die. Leatherman construction is much better and have a long warranty which is a plus. Have been using it for a week on the same application as the gerbers but it has not let me down yet. Just to let you know that leatherman is manufactured in USA, but the metal gift box that comes with it is made in china. Hope this help.

I have had two of these little beauties for a number of years now. They have some really useful functions for such a small tool. I carry both of them every day. One is the same as advertised here and the other has a small set of pliers instead of scissors. I have found both multi-tools to be utterly brilliant! They are well made and are more robust than their size would suggest.
They take up no room loose in a pocket or can be used as a keyring. Money well spent!

Greta item but can anyone help with locating the knife? ive read the enclosed instructions but i can find it, even my hubby cant, is this a fault? anyone?
