I own it - great pool heater August 18, 2008 E. Collins-mizon (The Netherlands) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I have a small set pool (244) With a bestway filter pump, that pump 330 gallons per hour.
I know it not recommended - but it works fine.
Note - you really need to use your Solar Cover and on a sunny day it will go up 1 degree per 1,5 hour.
So warm it up in the morning, and the kids can play in the pool in the afternoon after school.
ALSO NOTE; THIS ITEMS SHOULD BE TURNED OFF WHILE ENTERING THE POOL OR WHEN POOL IS NOT IN USE - PLEASE READ THE MANNUAL WHEN BUYING THIS PRODUCT.
AND ALWAYS SUPERVIZE YOUR CHILDREN IN THE POOL

We received this product promptly and it was as described. The product was easy to set up and the instructions given were very easy to follow. Would recommend this product to other users and also the seller.
pool heater July 23, 2010 10nacara easily the best money I have spent this year. We bought this heater a week or so ago and I was slightly sceptical. We have a 15' circular Intex pool which was great last year but very cold as unheated. 5 days with the heater running plus a solar cover (it's been sunny but not very hot weather) and raised the temp. from 20 to 28 degrees and transfomred the fun we have with the pool.
Note; you do really need a mains supply to run this, it draws 3.5KW - I put in an outside extention to our 250V ring main with the usual trunking and IP55 socket. The heater comes with a 13amp RCD hard-wired plug which is good.
Do not expect the temp to rise quickly - it goes up by a degree a day. Probably won't get over 28 degrees unless we have a heat wave and will drop if weather cools.
If it breaks will I buy another heater? - you bet I will! The only snag is higher electric bills!
Excellent pump July 9, 2010 tara2000 I bought this pump for an 18' oval pool, and its made the pool a comfortable 29 degrees, but we do leave it on pretty much all the time
Good heater for Pool or Spa. June 1, 2008 V. Price (U.K.) 61 out of 61 found this review helpful
I'm using this 3klw heater in conjunction with the Intex filter pump to heat my spa. It works very well, water temperature is raised by 5 degrees an hour and easily reaches 96 degrees water temp, for comfortable hot tub/spa use. A word of warning though, this is not a toy and safety is built into this heater, it comes with heavy duty power lead plus RDC plug fitted. This heater will not run safely on an extention lead. So thought needs to given as to how the unit will get power before purchase. Also there is no thermostatic control, therefore cannot be left unattended for long periods.
